The City of Belleview invites the community to gather for the 2024 Belleview Freedom Walk, set for 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the Belleview Community Center. This event serves as a tribute to those lost in the September 11, 2001, attacks and honors the first responders who continue to serve our community today.
The evening will feature remarks from local leaders, including Mayor Christine Dobkowski and Florida State Representative Ryan Chamberlin. Representatives from local and regional first responder agencies—police, fire rescue, and paramedics—along with members of nonprofits such as the American Legion and Lions Club, will also be present. Florida State Senator Dennis Baxley will attend to emphasize the importance of unity and remembrance on this solemn day. The Belleview High School Chamber Singers will offer a moving musical tribute.
After the speeches, attendees will participate in a brief walk around the park and Lake Lillian, providing a reflective conclusion to the evening.
