Road Rage Boils Over as Belleview Man Fires .22 Caliber Shot from Vehicle

A routine drive took a dangerous turn Thursday night when a heated road rage incident ended with a gunshot. Jonathan R. Carrasquillo, 37, was identified as the suspect who allegedly fired a .22 caliber handgun from his vehicle at approximately 9:17 p.m. at the intersection of SE Foss Rd & SE Front Rd.

According to Belleview Police, what started as a traffic spat escalated, resulting in Carrasquillo allegedly discharging his firearm in a fit of road rage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the situation serves as a stark reminder of how quickly tempers can flare on the road.
