Boy Scout Troop #113 held its 43rd Annual Spaghetti Dinner on February 2, 2025, at Weirsdale Presbyterian Church, located at 16303 SE 137th Ct in Weirsdale, from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
The popular spaghetti dinner was just $8.00 for a generous portion of their famous pasta with meat sauce, along with salad, bread, dessert, and a drink for those dining in.
Boy Scout Troop #113 also offered a drive-thru service, which remained busy throughout the event. The drive-thru line never stopped, moving efficiently thanks to 43 years of experience.
The dine-in option drew a large crowd, with attendees lining up around Weirsdale Presbyterian Church, eager to enjoy a great meal while supporting the local Boy Scouts and their mission.\
Spaghetti Dinner Coordinator Bob McCall, who has overseen the event for the past 10 years, explained that the fundraiser helps the Scouts attend summer camp and participate in high-adventure activities in New Mexico.
The Scouts sold tickets for the highly anticipated dinner, served guests, and handled cleanup. The event receives strong community support, with family, friends, and local volunteers dedicating their time. One particularly dedicated volunteer, Lynn from Lake County, sold 400 tickets and raised an additional $1,300 in donations.
Scoutmaster Rob Boyer, along with Troop #113, invited Weirsdale Presbyterian Church’s Interim Pastor, Marianne Niesen, to become an Honorary Member of Boy Scout Troop #113. She was presented with one of only two Honorary Neckerchiefs during the church service immediately preceding the dinner.
In total, Boy Scout Troop #113’s Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser sold 1,804 meals, including 870 through the drive-thru.
