New Year, New President. New Ideas. Lisa Kreiner is our new president. February meeting will be held at the Book Nook 6007 SE Earp Rd at 10 a.m. on February 18th. The featured speaker will be Evelyn Kelly author and world traveler. Ms. Kelly has visited 88 countries and her books have a love affair with travel.
Whether you are an arm chair traveler or on-the-go adventurer she will inspire you. Everyone in invited and refreshments will be served.
Book Drive. The Friends always accept gently used books during our regular business hours Friday and Saturdays 10-2. But to help with your spring cleaning on Sunday February 23rd from 12-3 members will be available at the Book Nook to help unload your vehicle with your donations. Special help will also be available on Wednesday February 26th from 10-1. Books of all categories e.g. novels, non- fiction, childrens’ books, puzzles, CD and DVD’s are needed. Your donations help stock the shelves at the Book Nook used book store. Proceeds from sales help the Belleview Library and to preserve the historic original library building.
On March 18th the Friends will host an open house at the Belleview Library. The event will run from 10:30 am until 1 pm. Everyone is invited to join the Friends and community organizations for information, raffles, refreshments and children activities.
The annual Spring book sale will be held on March 21 and 22 from 9 am to 3 pm each day. Daily specials will be announced with bargains galore. Watch for more details.
