Two people were safely rescued Saturday evening after becoming trapped inside an elevator at a Stonecrest senior living facility.
Marion County Fire Rescue responded to High Point at Stonecrest Senior Living at 5:47 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, following a report of two people trapped inside an elevator.
Crews from The Villages Station #10 arrived at 5:57 p.m. and located the occupants inside the elevator on the second floor. Firefighters worked to safely access the elevator and help both people out.
Additional crews from Belleview Station #18 responded to assist with the rescue.By 6:30 p.m., both occupants were safely out of the elevator.
No injuries to the occupants or firefighters were reported.
