A 39-year-old Ocala man was killed Friday morning after his motorcycle collided with a trailer being pulled by a pickup truck on U.S. 441, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred around 8:18 a.m. on November 6 near Northwest 42nd Place.
According to FHP, a 57-year-old Ocala woman was driving a black Ford F-150 pulling a black trailer when she made a lawful U-turn from the southbound median turn lane of U.S. 441 into the northbound lanes.
The motorcyclist, who was traveling northbound in the right lane, collided with the rear of the trailer.
The 39-year-old man, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.
Neither the pickup truck driver nor her passenger, a 61-year-old Ocala man, reported any injuries.
