Community Wellness Takes Center Stage at Belleview SDA Church March 29

Belleview residents will have an opportunity to combine health resources with family-friendly activities later this month as a local church hosts a community wellness event.

“Fit for Life 2026: Health Fair & Family Fun Day” is scheduled for Sunday, March 29, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Belleview Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 5051 SE 112th Street Road.

The event is centered around accessible health services and preventive care, with the UF Health OB/GYN Mobile Outreach unit set to be on site. Services expected to be available include annual and preventive exams, breastfeeding support, family planning resources, ultrasound exams, and prenatal and postpartum care.

Organizers are also planning a range of activities aimed at drawing families and keeping children engaged. Attractions include a bounce house, water slide, smoothies, and various giveaways throughout the afternoon.

Public safety and health education will also be part of the event. Marion County Fire Rescue and its Community Paramedic Program are expected to participate, along with opportunities for bike helmet fittings and bicycle safety education.

Additional features include a fire engine and rescue truck display, food sales, and participation from HCA Florida Ocala Hospital.

Event organizers describe the gathering as a way to bring together health resources and community engagement in one setting, with an emphasis on preventive care and accessibility.

Registration is available online through a QR code included on event materials, or by visiting https://tinyurl.com/37pe4pz7. For additional information, organizers can be contacted at churchministry2024@gmail.com.
