A Marion County man already being held in the Marion County Jail is facing additional felony charges after investigators say he posed online as a teenage girl to solicit sexually explicit videos from underage boys.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, 26-year-old Logan Litton was charged with three counts of using a computer to solicit a child, six counts of directing a sexual performance by a child, and one count of utilizing a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.
The investigation began July 12 after deputies were notified of possible child sexual abuse material located on Litton’s cellphone.
According to the sheriff’s office, a woman who had possession of Litton’s phone after his July 10 arrest for domestic battery searched the device for banking information with his permission. During that search, she reportedly found sexually explicit conversations between Litton and a teenage boy. Investigators said Litton portrayed himself as a 17- to 18-year-old girl named “Cassandra.”
Detective Melvin Coates interviewed Litton at the Marion County Jail on July 15. According to investigators, Litton admitted to using several websites while pretending to be a teenage girl and communicating with boys typically between the ages of 16 and 18, but as young as 14. He also admitted that several underage boys had sent explicit material to his cellphone, according to the sheriff’s office.
During a forensic examination of Litton’s phone, detectives located additional conversations with three boys between the ages of 12 and 14. Investigators allege Litton, while posing as “Cassandra,” directed the juveniles to perform sexual acts on themselves and each other, record the acts, and send the videos to him.
Litton was charged while in custody at the Marion County Jail, where he remains held without bond on the new charges. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said detectives believe there may be additional victims and that the investigation remains ongoing.
